Round 1 Match 64

Monster Slacker vs. Case Cracker!
Grover: The monster at the end of this round.
Encyclopedia Brown: The kid sleuth who solves mysteries around town.
Criteria: Leroy "Encyclopedia" Brown has been told there is a monster lurking around at the end of this mystery. Do you think you know who it is? Turn to page 73 to find out! (But vote first)

Round 1 Match 63

Cinematic Gorilla Boon vs. Goofy Hero who cries "Spoon"!
King Kong: The big kahuna of giant gorillas. In a time when monkeys were the big media gimmick, a great big giant monkey was just about as cool as it got.
Tick: Big blue defender of "The City". Anyone who enjoyed the comics, cartoon, and short-lived sitcom remembers how cool the writing was in this send-up of comic superheroics. No wonder Ben Edlund went to work for Joss Whedon afterwards.
Criteria: Chairface Chippendale and the Deadly Bulb (Pigleg) capture Kong and set him loose on the unsuspecting City. Kong immediately falls in love with American Maid. Can Arthur and Tick stop the love-sick primate in time? You decide!

Round 1 Match 62

Fixit With Mullet Hair vs. Ultra-Violent Pair
MacGyver: Before Jack Bauer, there was MacGyver. He difused bombs, defended the world, and fought bad guys armed with nothing but a garden rake, bubble gum, and baking soda.
Tom and Jerry: Before Itchy and Scratchy, or even Spy vs. Spy, there was this dueling duo. More punches per second than a UFC event.

Round 1 Match 61

Animation: Now and Then!
Mr. Incredible: Middle-aged defender of truth, justice, and the suburban way.
Mr. Grinch: Mean green defender of the humbug way
Criteria: The Grinch finds Syndrome's inventions and uses the zero-point energy gloves to levitate all the Christmas trees out of Whoville. Jack-Jack was climbing up one of the trees at the time. Discuss.
