Round 1 Match 61

Animation: Now and Then!
Mr. Incredible: Middle-aged defender of truth, justice, and the suburban way.
Mr. Grinch: Mean green defender of the humbug way
Criteria: The Grinch finds Syndrome's inventions and uses the zero-point energy gloves to levitate all the Christmas trees out of Whoville. Jack-Jack was climbing up one of the trees at the time. Discuss.

Comments:
The Incredibles are cool enough, but Mr. isn't the most interesting of the lot, and they certainly aren't timeless icons like the Grinch.

I'm voting for grinchy, and not holding the live action portrayal against him...

That's tough. Hmmmm. A childhood cartoon I could take at Christmas time, instead of dead air or Sunday Christian programming, or a new man about town -- a movie that brought new appreciation for John Barry's great music.

But...let me digress.

Has anyone ever SEEN the video where Craig T. Nelson wigs out while trying to do stand up comedy? It reminds me of my worst public speaking experiences. My opinion of the man completely changed. Great television. Shame I couldn't find a link.

CLASSIC.

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch. And we love ya for it.

Grinch...i would touch him with a 39 and a half foot pole.

The only issue I have with the Grinch is the way they butchered the ending.

Where's the gloating?? Where's the maniacal laughter?? Why isn't the Grinch using a sniper rifle?

The Grinch :) Marilyn

Has to be the Grinch.

Best part about the Grinch was his dog. The expressions on his face were priceless.

Looks like we have a squash in the works.

What is this lack of love for Bob???

I think that I have every line in the incredibles movie memorized and I have to agree that Bob is a lack lustre star - no if it was Jack Jack or Dash I might have more to say.

One the other hand, I have listened to hundreds of lectures from Dr's and I have to admit that I enjoyed the story of the Grinch the best.

Grinch - all the way to Whooville.

Regarding above message

Sorry I can't type today and I forgot to sign my name or any kind of signature.

Oh well... I still love Grinch.
