The best thing about MacGyver is getting referenced on the Simpsons.
The second best thing is occasional appearance by Michael Des Barres, who is peripherally connected to Duran Duran through his touring experience with the Power Station (standing in for Robert Palmer).
Tom and Jerry are all over him.

I was going to talk about watching (out of the blue) all episodes back to back of season 9 of "Stargate: SG-1" (not having seen ANY of the previous episodes...yes, I'll do a lot of stupid wasteful things instead of stare at blank pages) and then make some feeble reference, talking about my BIG EPIPHANY -- suddenly likening myself to those chain-smoking Simpson gals...but then that bastard Jeffy beat me to it.
not to negate MacGyver's coolness factor, but T&J win this round of iconedness (is that a word? well it is now.)
I think everyone enjoys being able to have a smoke after watching yet another riviting episode of MacGyver.
Speaking of UFC...did anyone see Cro Cop get his ASS handed to him on Saturday.

By default it has to be MacGyver. If you had put either Tom or Jerry into the battle, it would be fair. Now, I'm not saying that I remember every round and all the battles, but I don't recall (with the exception of the Backyardigans) another time when a team got entered together. G-force was broken up. Batman didn't have Robin. Even Dora didn't get Boots.
Jerry had quite a successful solo career, including feature films dancing with Dick van Dyke and others. Had he been in this competition flying solo, he would have got my vote. But here we are again with that damn cat holding him back from greatness.
