Round 1 Match 8: Potpourri Division

Ticklish Chef vs. Giant Sailor!

Pillsbury Doughboy: The herald of ready-made baked goods. Truly puts a bit of himself into his recipes. Hopefully, other chefs don't take this quite as literally.

Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man: The herald of Gozer the Gozarian, the Destructor. The prospect of a 70-foot white cherub wreaking havoc on NYC was both funny and (kind of) frightening. Could have been worse though, could have been a giant Slorr...

Comments:
Wait...is something wrong with Jon A?

Come on...STAY PUFT! The Pilsbury Dough Boy makes me laugh but his cholesterol levels are through the roof. Funnier would be animation where they're duking it out and the Boy clutches his chest as this massive heart attack hits him and his head explodes. Then (like Bambi vs. Godzilla) the giant foot of STAY PUFT comes down and absorbs him.

Stay-Puft is my Laser Tag code name. Just like him, I am an easy target for attack and often end up as a big gooey pile on the floor.

Stay Puft could reach down, pick up Pillsbury , roll him like one of those lovely crescent rolls he schills for, and smoke him.
Stay Puft!
"This guy's a sailor, he's in New York..."
"What did you do Ray?"

STAY-PUFT all the way.

"Well, there's something you don't see every day."

In the interest of preventing a shutout/smackdown of complete and Casey-esque proportions, allow me to observe that the doughboy is a more ironic choice.

This is why he has been referenced in so many other spoofs including the Simpsons, Family Guy, and most notably, well, the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.

Anything you like about Stay-Puft, you owe to Doughboy! He's where it all started!

I also was going to mention the widespread, belly-poking influence of the Dough Boy ("d'oh!" boy?).

The ubiquitous little pastry chef is found in supermarket aisles and home kitchens across the continent. Stay Puft? A giant destructive mutant that only New York city could love.

Hmm... I'm voting for a corporate marketing ploy over a movie monster? Siding, as usual, with the little guy.

har har!

Stay Puft all the way!!!! Victoria this one is for you.
