The Grinch has been around a heck of a lot longer than Bart and still manages to be a special part of many people's holiday traditions. Bart used to be the mainstay of the Simpsons, but, as has been pointed out by many other devoted voters in this competition, Homer has really become the front man of the franchise. As my heart swells to 10 times it's normal size (mainly due to poor diet and alcohol) I cast my vote for Mr. G
I'm gonna do the Bartman.... maybe it's because I'm Jewish? therefore the Grinch has no holiday sentimentality for me...

If only The Grinch hadn't repented in the end, he'd get my vote. Instead, I have to go with El Barto.
Hmmmmmmmmmm. Tough contest. Two huge icons. Grinch has been around longer, has starred in a book, a cartoon and a movie. Bart has starred in a cartoon in the longest running comedy on television. The Grinch has survived Jim Carrey. Bart is about to be in a movie. I think both will stick around for a really long time. Ultimately, I'm going with the Grinch because he is a bigger star of his franchise than Bart is...Homer is the real star of the show.
