Round 1 Match 52

Tiger Id vs. Comeback Kid!
Tigger: The manic big cat, who shook things up in the hundred acre wood when he pounced on the scene.
Calvin: Our only repeat combatant from Season 1 returns to fight again. I felt that Calvin got eliminated because he appeared too mainstream under the previous criteria, so here is a chance for him to battle it out amongst his peers.
Criteria: Funny that these two got paired together, since Tigger looks so much like Calvin's regular partner, and Calvin is kind of a rowdier Christopher Robin. It begs the question, what would a "Calvin and Tigger" comic strip be like? Would Tigger steal the show? Would Calvin put the bouncy feline in his place?

Comments:
The most wonderful thing about Calvin’s,
Is that Calvin’s really stir up some shit.
They decapitate snowmen and cause trouble,
Which makes their parents and neighbours throw fits.

They're mischievous, devious
Precocious,ferocious
Full of Sin
Sin
Sin
Sin
Sin

But the most wonderful thing about Calvin’s
Is that in this round he is going to win.

Do you see what I have to live with?????

Tigger.
Just cause.

G votes tigger because he has stripes.

Calvin, because he's way sneakier than Tigger.

Here's how this goes down:

Tigger bounces onto the rear window of a truck whose driver has nothing better to do than fill the space with stickers. Calvin is displeased and pees on Tigger. Cats hate getting wet and Tigger bounces out of there.

Calvin wins.

As much as i adore Calvin, i have to go with Tigger. He is much more prominent in culture and appeals to young and old alike.

i like tigger because he bounces and i bounce for him.

Tigger. T-I-Double"guh"-Rrrr

Calvin by a country bounce!

Tigger never really lived life on the edge.

Chuck's Dad

kids name their cats tigger, not calvin. never calvin. tigger it is.

You're all fools...except those who voted for Calvin.

This is a tough one. Two characters, much beloved.

However, let's look at who sold out more than the other...

They are both owned by multi-nationals. Pooh (and all the associated characters) is owned by Disney. That's right DISNEY owns Tigger.

Who owns Calvin & Hobbes? Universal. Although one could say Watterson hasn't sold out as quickly or as completely. You don't see him everywhere. Sadly, you don't see his Saturday morning cartoon either.

Therefore for MASSIVE sell-out it must be Tigger. And for making me smile whenever I'm on the 400 and I see Calvin as a decal on the back of some pickup truck peeing on some logo or icon (little scamp!) I vote for Calvin.

This one goes to Calvin. If Disney didn't own Tigger now I'd consider him, but even then...Calvin would just transmogrify Tigger if he started giving him any 'tude.

Game/ Reality show..... uhmmm this week I pick.... The Surreal Life. Although I have only seen this show once, it seems to me like a glorified popularity contest (but then again - aren't they all)

Tigger vs Calvin...

Although initially the houseguests found Calvin's little antics humourous, they tired of it and became offended as it was their turn to be punked. They and the little puddles of pee found everywhere were really starting to smell and one unfortunate housemate slipped in the wee hours of the night.

Tigger of course brought a whole supply of Disney cartoons for everyone to enjoy and he said that he would share as long as he was not removed from the house. Well the library is huge, and the other guest are only on Mulan(going alphabetically) so Tigger is safe for a few more weeks.
