Round 1 Match 50

Lazy vs. Busy!
Garfield: An ill-tempered cat, who spends his day loafing around waiting for his next meal. Cultural prevalence shown in the numerous car decorations featuring his likeness (my favourite is the one that makes it seem like he's half-caught in the trunk.
Bob: A good-natured contractor, who gets his work done with the help of magical intelligent talking loaders and mixers. And unlike Mike Holmes, he doesn't always resort to tearing everything down in order to fix it.
Criteria: Bob wants to build a new dog park in Garfield's neighbourhood. Garfield is upset that his proposal for a all-night lasagna shack wasn't approved. Discuss.

Comments:
Put them together and you've got me - a good-natured lazy slob.

My answer to the overly exuberant, "Can we fix it?!?"

"Probably not, let's go out and buy a new one."

Personally, I think that Bob has a pretty expensive habit and that's really what keeps him going like the energizer bunny. Have you ever seen him take any down time? Scary.

My vote goes to the cat, whose allergic reaction to his floral print recliner will forever be one of the funniest cartoon stips I have ever read.

Hands down, Garfield the cat.
Martyn

bob 'cause he builds everything

I predict Garfield gets randy when the cute neighbor cat comes round, but he has eatn so much lasagna that he can't move off the couch.

Nevertheless, he keeps spraying all of Jon's furniture.

Jon takes him to veterinarian Bob.

Can we fix him? Yes we can!

Bob for the win.

But I'd still like to see that floral print recliner cartoon.

i like the cat because i like cats and i pet them, but they don't bite me or eat and i be nice to them.
Cat, i very much i love you and i very want to see you.

Gotta go with Garfield. No matter how annoying i find him now - he's simply better than bob.

I've had 20+ years exposure to Garfield and only maybe 1 to Bob...

Easy decisions... Garfield.

Garfield should get all kinds of support here. Who wants a dog park with those people around who DON'T Stoop and Scoop.

Chuck's Dad

Absolutely Garfield. Who is Bob the Builder?
Lauren

Sam Watterson, who drew Calvin & Hobbes had a hate on for Garfield and therefore this goes to BOB.(And if I'm making this part up --note the missing link to support my claim-- it's only because Garfield has spoiled my relationship with Lasagna, which I loved LONG BEFORE that fucking fur ball came along.)

Thank you.

And in this episode of the surreal life...

The housemates used poor Bob, as he is far to trusting and nieve. They had him fix up the house just the way they liked it - jucuzzi tubs throughout, secret passage ways and even a tower with a turret - and then they voted him out of there.

How did Garfield survive through all that??? He fell asleep in a warm sunny corner and everyone forgot he was even there. They did notice that occasionally there would be food missing, but poor Bob got blamed for that as the house guests thought that he was sneaking food out to impress Wendy.
