Charlie Brown is well known, even if presently it's only for his sentimental holiday specials, but he's not particularly rich as a character, and Peanuts delved into the overly preachy (Family Circus style) from time to time, too.
Plus, it would be a travesty if Kirk outlasted Picard. My vote's for Jean-Luc.

Good Grief, I think Jean-Luc got a bum draw on this one. Charlie Brown, for all his neurosis', was actually the glue that kept the peanuts gang together.
My vote goes to the one who has been stuck wearing the same outfit the longest. If TNG went a few years longer, Jean-Luc may have given that big round-headed kid a run for his money.
