Round 1 Match 5
"Shhhhhhhh, be vewy vewy quiet; I'm hunting witewawy awwegowies, ehehehehehehe."
Elmer Fudd: bumbling little man with a gun. Historical significance is undeniable since he inspired today's version, Dick Cheney.
Peter Pan: immortal boy adventurer. The original alpha dog, wanted by pirates, pixies and mermaids alike. Must be the panpipes.
Can the bumbling hunter contain the unbridled chaos of youth? Pick your favouwite (sorry, favourite) now and vote!

I've spent the weekend trying to decide who should get my vote for this match. Both have been around for a long time. Both are pretty one-dimentional in their range of acting abilities. Both have foes.
Elmer has been in many more story lines than Pan, who has been limited to the one story and variations thereof. Elmer has a shotgun. Pan has a knife. Elmer can fall great distances without lasting injuries. Pan can fly.
Elmer had an icon of safety named after him. Pan had a flute - or a saint depending on whether you use first or last names.
What finally swayed my vote is that Pan has a smoking hot, tight outfit wearing, pixie of a women as a side-kick and Elmer has no one.
Pan takes it.

Okay, so in honour of the season premiere happening this week, the matches will be as American Idols.
Elmer Fudd has always reminded me of my Dad - perhaps is the hunting rifle and the lack of natural head covering - but a little cartoon version of Brian he is. (please don't pass this address to my Dad as I am hoping to stay on his good side). All that being said, I have heard my Dad sing. And although I am sure that he would be featured on this week's premiere, it would not be because he is "going to Hollywood"
As for Peter Pan, there will always be Aikeneske questions of sexuality, but the better singer he would be. And with the previously mentioned hotties for back-up. It is a win win situation.
Peter takes the cake.
PS. I will stop posting anonymously once I tink of a good blogger name.

This is a tough one... Elmer Fudd had the classic "Be vewy vewy quite... I'm hunting wabbits" line which I've been known to quote... but Peter Pan... he's got never never land, and Tinkerbell, not to mention Captain Hook...
Bottom line, I love Elmer, but Peter gets my vote.

Ah - I like the television premiere angle, so I will unabashedly steal it. In the honor of the premiere of the best show of all time last night - 24, I will keep my answers short and sweet, because, I have a country to save.
Elmer has a gun, Pan can fly - I think Jack Bauer would choose the man wih the gun, every time!
