And the nominees are...

Here is the list of 128 pop-culture icons. Please take a moment to review.
I welcome suggestions of other worthy icons that may have been omitted. However, since this list is "complete", any addition will have to take the form of a substitution. Please construct your motion so that it includes an icon to take off the list in favour of the one you are proposing.

Samurai Pizza Cats

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samurai_Pizza_Cats

"The eponymous stars of the show are three anthropomorphic cats who protect the city of Little Tokyo (Edoropolis) from crime while making a living running a pizza restaurant."

Before I make any suggestions, is it too early to ask:

If the last Icon-o-clash was about ironic cool, on what basis are we judging the competitors this time?

All the same, If kids icons are a choice, I'd vote for the Backyardigans over Barf the Mog.

That Pablo slays me.

Judging criteria will probably shift a little depending on the match, and I will hint at it in the match introductions.
Certainly will include (in varying degrees of emphasis):
- Popularity (penetration of the icon into the general cultural zeitgeist)
- Coolness (but not ironi-coolness, not cool because of their un-coolness)
- Actual combat (who would win in a fight? This will play more of a role in some than others)

Any other criteria we should be including?

To further explain the "coolness" examined in this version:
The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man was ironi-cool due to his obscurity and minor and brief pop culture reign.
Fonzie or Mickey Mouse are "cool" due to their immense popularity and the persistence of that popularity over a long period of time.
And before we go any further, let it be known that Buckaroo Banzai is cool, on any level, regardless of criteria. Any attempt to remove Buckaroo Banzai from this list will result in the immediate replacement of Jack Bauer with Jar Jar Binks. Just so we're clear.

which is perhaps why he didn't win in the end

OK, uhm...we've got Picard but NOT Kirk?!

Something is wrong here.
