Round 6: THE FINAL FOUR!
Four Corners Death Match Final!
They came from far and wide across the cultural consciousness; 128 iconic combatants vying for our affections.
Now these four elite competitors are left standing on the battlefield, each representing their respective divisions.
Stella, who rose through all the heroes, detectives, ninjas, robots and devilish rogues to claim the Action championship.
Jerome, who upset a menagerie of tigers, elephants, monkeys, bears and cereal shills to become top of the Animal food chain.
Mr. Line, whose European charm struck down the fuzzy and the shiny alike in the Cute/Funny division.
Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, who steamrollered his way through the disparate masses to reign supreme as Potpourri champion.
But there can be only one. Only one can be called the greatest ironically cool pop culture icon. One last round of voting to determine their fates. One will rise to glory, the others will be left to wallow in obscurity with the rest of their fallen comrades.
Now, more than ever, is your chance. Choose wisely and make your vote count.
VOTING PROCEDURE
In this final vote you will rank, in order of preference, each of the 4 icons.
Votes can be posted to the comments as always or your ranked list can be emailed to:
iconoclashfinals2006@gmail.com
These emailed votes will not only make it easier for some folks to participate, but also add an element of surprise to the announcement of the winner.
As per previous matches, feel free to justify your ranking using whatever rationale you prefer.
Voting will be open until midnight, EST, Sunday July 9th. This will allow for you all to pass the link around to interested parties, as well as cover lost time due to the upcoming long weekend.
The winner will be announced at the ICON-O-BASH season finale party on Saturday July 15th, and subsequently posted on this site, (after the hangovers wear off).

I am going to make a suggestion that may seem odd coming from me. I noticed that the instructions included passing along the email address to interested parties. We may want to limit final votes to individuals that have taken the time to vote (without coercion) in at least one other round during the competition.
Many people have taken a lot of time checking the site and voting week after week. Others have voted on an off as time permitted. We shouldn't leave it in the hands of a bunch of new players to determine the final order and outcome of the competition.
My minions were only in play for one week and will bear no consequence on the outcome of this final round of votes.

I'll take that under consideration.
We haven't had much luck recruiting new panelists without coercion anyway, so I'll make a ruling if and when I end up with droves and droves of new voters to tally up.

This is a tough one - these are just not the icons i expected to make it to the end...
Jerome - inherently uncool in that he's a weird gentle Giraffe puppet from a weird gentle kids show. Although Canadians will give him the cool factor just for being part of our small space in the pop culture sphere...
Mr. Line - kind of cool in that he never took any guff and i remember a lot of kids imitating that voice.
Stella - again not the "coolest" character in the history of the culture that is pop, but she was the saviour of our brave prtagonists on the secret railroad time and again. Grrl Power - you go Stella.
StayPuft - I originally thought he was simply too cool to be the winner, but someone pointed out to me that he was originally a gag in a movie - the butt of a few jokes, and it's kind of interesting how people have taken StayPuft to heart, remembering him.
Anyway, off i go to vote! Hope to see everyone on the 15th!

I would like directions or maps.google.com coordinates to your place for the wrap party. You know where to reach me...
