Round 4 Match 2: Action Division
World Cup: Greece vs. Belgium!
These two have ardent supporters in both clubs, and it will be difficult to control the tensions in the stands as they face off in the pitch. Will Tintin play the role of his Brazilian cohort Ka Ka? Or will he stumble to the cunning keeper in the purple robe? Look for lots of yellow cards to be served in this match, it's bound to be a dirty one!

It's tempting to push Tintin further into Jonny-on-the-spot Quest taunt mania, but I don't want to risk him actually winning. He's cool and all, but doesn't ome off as ironic enough for me.
Daedalus, please.
Daedalus, please.
Every week something happens that makes my staff votes null and void. I am going to start off with this competition as it has the least affect on the overall outcome of the game.
As they are all using the same computer and logging in and out becomes long and tedious.
I'll need a ruling as to whether you will count these signed anonymous votes.

First, my vote. Tin Tin. I don't even know who he is, but we have to knock out Deadalus. He knocked off one of my picks.
I confused them with my first vote. To be honest, I even confused myself. But to explain - no there is too much - too sum up, that is a total of four votes for Tin Tin.
Not that I have trouble understanding, but it makes for easier reading if your powdered flavoured friends click "other" instead of "anonymous" when posting, and enter their pseudonyms in the space provided.
Then the comments don't have to be signed at the bottom.

I forgot that I accidentally made a comment that way last week. Good point. I'll get them to do it that way for the rest of them.
It looks like Tin Tin is going to take this one. But we should make sure by tallying up a few more votes.
buh.
i'm frustrated.
i don't like this voting system.
praps its because i'm tired, but i think it's crappy.
anyway, i vote for daedalus.

Daedalus and Dido (she's under his cloak) for the win. Not because evil ultimately wins out over good in real life, and not because I'm tired of seeing Tin Tin throwing on his coat as we approach the climax (bite tongue, come on...you can do it...control...don't say it), and not for the snobbery of the two incompetent look-alikes who trail his every move. And not for the drunken Captains and the big boobed society women who lose their diamonds so easily (or should I have said "jewelry"...nah, that doesn't work).
No, he shouldn't win for all that cottage-time saccharin. We should stand behind Daedalus and once and for all embrace the menace and don our black hoods and chant in time to his swaying skeletal structure...his bony fingers closing like a vise over our outstretched hands (maybe crushing the fingers of the unfaithful or simply the weary), the moans and groans an evil cacophany, the devil's symphony as he mounts the stairs ready to be honoured on our chests.
Damn cat...away from me now, I'm typing! (Note to judges: I started writing this WAY before noon)

voting tally so far:
4-8 for tintin
This one might be a runaway, unless some more votes get cast this afternoon

That an ancient Greek legend can find relevance and a new following in this rapidly changing, ever-accelerating society, speaks volumes about need to be reminded of our history and the importance of a classical education.
TinTin, always rushing around solving crimes. Where would he be without Big D who pioneered human flight? Stuck in Brussels, that's where!
Still voting for Daedalus (someone else who would have to repeat the correct spelling of his name over and over and over again).
