It's tempting to throw my support behind Q*Bert - the diagonal jump that was a precursor to "3-dimensional" games, the innovative use of the asterisk in the name.
But it's more tempting to support Keyop. More ironic. Cooler. Those are my criteria.

That Keyop can maintain some mysterious cachet and individuality while being a valuable team player of a fierce, evil-fighting fivesome speaks unintelligible volumes for his appeal.
