Round 1 Match 15: Action Division
Cyborg Canine Battle!
Dynomutt: The bumbling sidekick of the Blue Falcon (voiced by the immortal Adam West). He was cool, since this parody of Batman was as close as kids got to a Batman cartoon at the time. Kids these days. They just don't know how good they've got it.
Brain: The safety net and fall-guy for Inspector Gadget's bumbling antics, Brain was the unsung hero of almost every mission.

Adam West is immortal? This i did not know... Is he a vampire?
Anyway, I don't know who Dynomutt was, but the exasperated Brain was one of the only good things about Inspector Gadget, so he gets my vote.

Maybe I shouldn't hold it against poor Brain, but each Gadget was the same old thing, and Brain's role in the whole affair was sadly predictable: wait until Penny tells you to follow Gadget, and prevent the bad guys from getting him. Oh, and get a ridiculous costume to get Gadget to mistake you for a MAD agent.
Brain ought to have had himself emancipated from those two.
Voting with the Harvey Birdman factor, voting for Dynomutt.
Now we make party!

As a side-kick, you are only as good as the person you align yourself with. Obbiously Brain, or his agent, weren't thinking when they hooked up with one of the worst cartoons on TV.
I think Dynomutt is actually a genius playing an airhead, just like Suzanne Somers.
