My Little Ponies: Another retro-franchise that persists today, because, let's face it: they're way cheaper than buying a real pony. And you would get into a lot of trouble if you dyed a horse pink or lavender.

Gummi Bears: More bounce than Tigger, more plot than the Smurfs, with a dash of Medieval Times thrown in.

Tough call. But I don't think I owned a Care Bear, while I had quite the stable full of My Little Ponies. Plus when I was playing My Little Ponies with friends, I think our imaginations got more of a workout than Care Bear play would have brought.

Vic, get off the pipe, the choice is Gummy bears VS Ponies! The care bears were like 4 weeks ago.

I'm taking the gummy bears, that little yellow chick is cute! with her little 50's inspired hair, very stray cats baby! Didn't they have some potion that made them really really bouncy! Gotta love that! The ogers were really stupid too. OOH Disney, you did it to me again!

wow - i can't believe i thought it was the care bears! i need to cut my drug intake by at least half! I still take the ponies over the gummy bears!

I actually watched the Gummi Bears, so they'll get my vote, even though they're Disney.

Don't look for them to coast through next round, though.

I'm not sure that teaching kids to imbibe special drinks and supplements ("Gummiberry Juice"!?) to boost athletic performance has done our society any favours.

Still the Gummi Bears triumphed against greater foes (Duke Igthorn, his ogres, and of course Toadie); and I carry with me still fond memories of Gummi Bears stuck to the staff lounge ceiling of Camp Bimini.

Another vote for the G-Bear Posse.
