Icon-o-clash 3: The "Real-World" Edition

I refuse to vote for a live rodent as an icon! That thing has been rotting for decades now, but Topcat lives on!

GP all the way. That Guinea Pig made a hovercraft out of a mattress. I'm not sure how anyone can "top" that...
 

I sooooo want to vote for GP, but I thought we weren't doing live action.

(not that we "do" rodents)

Although I loved that show I have to shake my head at this. He's not going to make a cool and immediately recognizable t-shirt. GP is not "icon" material. I don't look at this furry creature and think...'Oh, the distilled essense of my childhood.' Rather I think about my hamster. It escaped while I was in Scotland on honeymoon with my first wife. After I came back I was not amused it had escaped. Through it I was able to watch her become like a child playing with it, feeding it, stroking its fur on our freshly made bed. I got a window into a hidden part of someone I loved. Like looking through a glass-bottomed boat to the murky depths below...her silly youth came bubbling up.

(Sigh)

I crushed its spine lifting the sofa looking for it. A lot of it died that day and a little of the child in my best friend, too.

Where were all the live action objectors during the Matty vs. Muffy Mouse battle?

It didn't stop me from Matty (now Martha Mouse!? in the latest incarnation of Once Upon a Hamster) then or GP now.
