Green Giant: The jolly advocate for putting vegetables on your table, (as long as they are flash frozen or stuffed in a can). Certainly has a reach advantage in any battle.
Kool-Aid Man: The one-man wrecking machine able to get to groups of thirsty kids anywhere, regardless of the obstacles in his way.

Why does the Kool Aid Man make me think of acid trips from my days in college (here I must insist on Anonymous...but who is kidding who...I know who I am? Don't I?). Kool Aid Man seems so funny to me. I can almost see him running through Jonestown, cheering on the Jim Jones fanatics, running speedily, and the fluid sloshing to and fro. Oh the Joy! Oh the Hilarity!
And despite Kool Aid Man's obvious wall-busting ability...wasn't it the girls in High School who often looked to the tall basketball players in the halls and said "Ho-ho-ho..." (with jovial sadistic grins and wagging their fingers in time to the music in their heads) and didn't the pock-marked would-be athletes (still cringing from wet towel antics) groan inwardly and answer with a flat "Green Giant"...no, no...this must go to the INSANITY of the Holy Fluid...the irrepressible joy of that Juggernaut -- KOOL AID MAN! (And now you can almost hear the over-tanned mothers in their backyards, sunning instinctively like arctic seals by their guilt-bought swimming pools, combining the shrill of 'Culligan Man' with their fond memories of their own childhood..."Ohhhh Kool Aid Man!"...and thus he'd smash through their kitchen walls to bring them the coloured water from which they'd dutifully imbibe.)

wow - tough call. They are both a little scary... large and freakishly strong. I mean, iKool-Aid can breaks through a wall! (well a walll made out of paper). Still, I'm sure there are numerous kids who have been traumatized by that image....but, the truth is - I still crave the sugar. Kool-Aid - you got my vote!

I agree with Lauren that both the Jolly Green Giant and the KoolAid man were kind of scary. I tend to like the Green Giant better as he is animated, where as the KoolAid man in his first incarnation just always had that maniacal grin...
But i think the KoolAid man became animated in later years...
Still a vote with a mighty ho-ho-ho to the Green giant (and with a little nod to the ever cute sprout!)
