Slimer of the movie "franchise" i could get behind (and you could still see me!). Slimer of the cartoon - not so much. the dude was kind of supposed to be one of the "bad" guys and then he became their pet? Oh - i feel so funky.
Casper was the same friendly ghost on small and big screen. Plus i really liked his pal Wendy Witch, so he gets my vote.

The casper movie was a bad idea, but I'll take original Casper over the original Slimer, or for that matter the cartooney version.
Casper was too prissy to be believable as a once-human being.
Slimer is real, down-to-earth, spewing and unfiltered expression of what it means to truly live.
